The Lake Region Public Library is extremely excited and honored to host wet plate photographer Shane Balkowitsch at the Lake Region Arts Festival on Saturday, June 10 at 1 pm.
Shane will give a presentation on “Northern Plains Native Americans: A Modern Wet Plate Perspective” and follow with a book signing. He will also be donating an original black glass ambrotype of Paige Victoria to our collection. We are also going to hang a framed print of “Eternal Field,” Shane’s first Native portrait of Ernie LaPointe the Great Grandson of Sitting Bull in the library.
