Blackout Poetry

April is National Poetry Month, and we want to celebrate!

Blackout poetry can mean a lot of different things, but at its core it is blacking out words on a page you do NOT want to use in your poem. What you’re left with is the work of a poet!

Stop by the nonfiction area of the library to look at some examples and pick up a pre-made kit. Return your finished poem for a prize and to be added to our display!
